Nine months ago, I said “𝘆𝗲𝘀” to the Lord once again—this time, to the call of hosting a weekly prayer call for the women in our local assembly. It was a 𝘆𝗲𝘀 to something that required sacrifice, and meeting at a time that brought me out of my comfort zone. Why did I say 𝘆𝗲𝘀? Because living a life of obedience to God is the pursuit of every disciplined follower of Christ.

As this month began, I had moments of deep reflection, filled with gratitude for what God has done. For nine months we’ve gathered at the 6 a.m. hour, united by the power of agreement in prayer. Week after week, we’ve come together, standing on His promises and declaring His word.

During this time of reflection, the Lord gave me a powerful analogy. In the natural, women have the extraordinary privilege of carrying life within us—a sacred process for the duration of nine months, or 36 to 40 weeks. Similarly, for the past nine months, we have been carrying something just as sacred: the glory of the Lord in the place of prayer. Together, as a unified company of women, we’ve carried our petitions to the altar and wrapped them in the truth of God’s Word before they even reached the throne room of heaven.

We’ve remained steadfast, praying without ceasing, believing for the manifestation of God’s glory in our families, relationships, churches, homes, workplaces, businesses, communities, and nations. We believe our prayers have become seeds of faith planted in the soil of expectancy. We are trusting God for an abundant harvest.

What an honor it has been to link arms with women chosen by God for this priestly assignment. Let us remain faithful, knowing that our labor in prayer is not in vain!
